Snippet Sunday: Day of the Dead ~ Dia de los Muertos #snippetsunday #SPeekSunday #8Sunday

Welcome Back Everyone!

Today is Snippet #7! I'm so excited to have you read it!

Today I'll be sharing a continued snippet from my newly published story Day of the Dead ~ Dia de los Muertos.

Last time we left off with Valentina and Nurse Hernandez trying to set up the sexy doctor Xander with girls with no luck. Wonder why?

**Note: The snippet has been modified to fit the 8 sentence limit.***

"It's been a week since you started working down here. How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine, great even," Valentina said with a cheery smile and hoped he believed her.

She didn't want him fussing over her, but they both knew she should feel better by now.

She didn't want to run anymore tests. She just needed to be… normal.

"I'm glad, but you'll let me know if that changes though, right?" He leveled his gaze on her as if he could read her mind.

Wanting to change the subject, Valentina glanced at the two coffees in Xander's hands.

 ********************************************************************************************************

Oh no could Valentina's good health be short lived? Could Xander read her mind?

Find out next week on Sunday October 18th for snippet #8 of my paranormal romance Day of the Dead ~ Dia de los Muertos.

Her faith is put to the test when a body arrives at the morgue drained of blood and the man responsible for the crime is sporting fangs. Could vampires be real?
Her good friend, Dr. Xander Carlisle seems to know the truth, but he's unwilling to confide in her. He has a secret of his own and it's not just how he feels about her, but something else entirely, something he's forbidden to reveal.

  3. Lost the last comment. Sorry if this is a duplicate. The scene is very easy to visualize and her emotions obvious in her words and actions. Nice.

  4. Oh wow. A lot of questions. I'm intrigued. :-) I think he likes her. And, I wonder why she doesn't feel "normal"? Is he a vampire? Did he infect her? Wonderfully puzzling. Good 8!

  9. She's definitely hiding something . . . I hope it's not what she'd apparently afraid it is.

And also, I want a hot doctor to bring me coffee! My husband will understand. :D
